Learn more about our sustainability policy

Cumbres Lastarria proudly holds two "S" Seal certificates for Sustainable Tourism awarded by Sernatur, along with its LEED certification, recognizing its energy and water-efficient design. Embracing a strong commitment to sustainability, the hotel implements a water savings program with ventilators in guest rooms, resulting in over 45% reduction in water usage. The hotel diligently recycles paper, cardboard, glass, cans, plastic, and used cooking oil, while ensuring good indoor air quality and utilizing solar panels for water heating, leading to impressive savings of over 19%. Moreover, over 50% of the hotel's products are sourced from local producers, many of which are entirely sustainable, reflecting our dedication to environmental stewardship.

In addition to its environmental efforts, Cumbres Lastarria celebrates Chilean culture by adorning its rooms with paintings by renowned national artists, depicting the country's history, landscapes, and age-old traditions from the colonial era. The hotel actively participates in the local cultural scene by supporting nearby museums such as Mavi, Gam, and the National Museum of Beaux Arts. Socially, the hotel stands proudly as a supporter of two Foundations: Smartrip and América Solidaria, furthering its commitment to making a positive impact on the community.
